Most people presume that the body’s required intake of sodium comes from the salt used in cooking. Unfortunately, that’s an absolute myth – only 10% of salt intake comes from the salt shaker! Try this exercise: make a list of the regular groceries, snacks, take-away fast foods that you buy and add up the sodium content on each box or packet – the result will astound you! No wonder, 9 out of 10 Americans are consuming dangerous levels of sodium!
