Since 1973, our planet’s population has witnessed a remarkable doubling. However, this growth hasn’t been uniform, causing a dynamic shift in the ranks of the most populous countries.
India is poised to become the world’s most populous nation, potentially holding that title for decades to come. Its population is projected to peak around the 2060s at roughly 1.7 billion, assuming no major shifts in growth rates. Interestingly, the global population peak is expected later, around the 2080s, with an estimated peak of 10.5 billion people.
