The past decades have seen many bubbles bursting: the dotcom bubble in 2000, the real estate bubble in 2007, the periodic stock market bubbles. The larger the bubble, the noisier the sound of its bursting! And the ‘pop’, of course, signifying billions of investor dollars being washed down the drain.
