Till recently, organizations had two options to reach mobile users – restrict communication to mobile-friendly websites, or create their own downloadable mobile app. In 2015, a third option emerged termed PWA, which is a combination of the earlier two.
PWAs look and feel like a mobile app, but can be accessed easily, without downloading, using modern browser features. Research shows that, in a month, a person uses only 25 mobile apps but over 100 websites, making this a hugely advantageous for marketers.
