What are shin splints? Shin splints is the term used to describe the nasty dull pain that one sometimes feels down the front of the lower leg right from the knee to the ankle, along the shin bone. This pain more commonly affects those who run regularly, or workout at length, or participate in stress sports like cricket, tennis, soccer, etc.
