When and where did pasta originate – China, or Italy? Some say Marco Polo brought back stories (and recipes) of pasta from his journey through China in the 13th century. Others go back to 3rd century BC, and the Roman Cicero’s documented passion for ‘laganas’, strips of long wide pasta sheets (the precursor to present day lasagna!)
Fact is, whoever invented pasta did a great service to humanity. The Italian nonna’s traditional creations can take a food-lover’s breath away! This infographic showcases the amazing variety of pastas, and the delectable dishes cooked with them.
