The windshield of your car is tough, as it’s made of laminated glass, which has an interlayer of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) or ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) sandwiched between two layers of glass.
However, even tough windshields do crack or break when enough force hits it. Auto glass repair can handle tiny cracks, but for bigger ones, windshield replacement is necessary.
