Natural Ways to Calm Your Dog – Infographic

Dogs can experience anxiety as much as humans. This feeling of fear is a healthy and adaptive response, especially when they haven’t experienced something before. However, when a dog’s profound fear and anxieties reach extreme levels, it can cause unhealthy and undesirable behaviors.

The Merck Veterinary Manual stated that dog anxiety can manifest for different reasons. Most anxieties are fear-related. Even at brief encounters, loud noises or car rides can trigger an anxious dog. Dogs can also suffer from separation anxiety, which makes it difficult for them to be left alone or be separated from their family members.

There are also age-related anxieties that affect older dogs as they often have  Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome (CDS). Dogs with CDS experience a decline in their memory, learning, and perception. It’s almost similar to the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease for human elderly, which understandably leads to confusion and anxiety for senior dogs.

Some concerned pet owenrs would often choose the option of going natural to not only calm down their dogs but also improve the quality of life.  This infographic by Ellevet shows a holistic and natural approach for those who want to do the same.
