Once, in the distant past, data was measured in Kilobytes (KB). Then came Megabytes (MB), followed soon after by Gigabytes (GB) and Terrabytes (TB). As the digital universe expands at the speed of the Big Bang, we can look forward to Petabytes, Exabytes, Zettabytes and Yottabytes!
However, these esoteric measurement terms mean little to the average consumer – you know what a kilo of potatoes looks like, but a GB of data? This infographic does an interesting and witty conversion of intangible bytes to tangible grams. Fun stuff to byte and chew on!
