The American Heart Association recommends that added sugar in a diet (that’s over and above the natural sugars you get in fruits and milk) should not be more than 25-36 grams or 6-9 teaspoons per day. But, before you congratulate yourself on how well you’re doing, think about the added sugar that is insidiously entering your body through packaged products!
