Gender equality in the workplace is the norm now, right? Wrong, very wrong! True, today, 47% of the US workforce is women, but when it comes to pay parity, women are far behind, earning 79-cents for every $1 earned by men. Moreover, only 38% of women are in managerial posts, as compared to 62% of men.
These figures (and many other disturbing statistics you can peruse in this infographic!) all point to continuing gender disparity. However, there are valuable lessons we can learn from some prominent women leaders who beat the average, as highlighted here.
