Gaming: Then and Now – Infographic

Did you know that the first ever gaming console goes back over 75 years ago, when Westinghouse displayed a prototype at the World’s Fair in 1940?! However, it was only in 1967 that Ralph Baer, sometimes called the Father of Video Games, developed a multi-player, multi-program gaming system for television, named Odyssey. Odyssey flopped but it was the inspiration for Pong, the first successful arcade video game, in 1972.

From then till now, the gaming industry has captured imaginations and markets worldwide, with 2.2 billion gamers worldwide, and almost $110 billion in revenue! Read all about it in this infographic.
