The Affordable Care Act, popularly referred to as the Obamacare Program, was enacted in March 2010. Since then, millions of additional patients have been enabled with access to healthcare at new community health centers spread across the nation. These health centers have effectively reached out to the marginalized – 2/3rd from racial and ethnic minorities, and almost 40% with no health insurance.
However, much remains to be done. This infographic discusses the shortfall zones, and the immense scope for nursing practitioners to build a career at specialized nurse managed health clinics (NHMCs).
