It’s safe to say that Data Centers are a critical asset for all large businesses – they hold, within their walls, the ‘keys of the kingdom’ so to say, as they house computer systems, applications and storage that are imperative for all everyday operations. Obviously, they require both maximum security and energy-efficient layouts to make them viable.
Check out some of the amazingly creative architectural solutions that exist today – like Google’s facility in Finland, that is cooled entirely by cold seawater, leaving no carbon footprint. Or Citigroup’s center, whose roof is entirely covered with living green plants.
