This South Korean company was founded on 1938 by Lee Byung-chull with 40 employees. Until 1960’s samsung wasn’t even in the electronic business. In the late 1960s, Samsung Group entered into the electronics industry and formed several electronics-related divisions, such as Samsung Electronics Devices, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Samsung Corning and Samsung Semiconductor & Telecommunications.
